Originally built in 1916, Thistle Cottage has been completely restored to allow you and your group to step back in time and enjoy this historic home! Once home to Annie Oakley and her husband, Henry Butler and many more historic figures from Pinehurst. Home has refinished the original pine floors, interior and window shutters. Thistle Cottage is more than just a vacation home, it is a piece of history in Pinehurst!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our family at Thistle Cottage! We were in the heart of Pinehurst and loved being able to get to restaurants and shopping in just a few minutes. The house is the true representation of the Pinehurst experience. Very well equipped and tastefully decorated. A pleasure to stay here!

My husbands friends stayed their for their annual golf get together in Pinehurst. This was one of their favorite trips thus far because of the home and its location + walkability. Our family can’t wait to come back next time :)

this historic home has been converted from 4 one bedroom apartments into a spacious modern home while maintaining its original charm...large kitchen and one especially large modern bath ( 3 and a half baths total)...special thanks to Tim who was helpful and gracious when needed...I lived in this property 50 years ago before the conversion ...a real treat to see the transformation
